Munnar is situated at an altitude of 1600 metres above sea level. Located in the Idukki district of Kerala, Munnar has a pleasant climate all around the year. Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a coastal city in Kerala situated on the Laccadive Sea. It is famous for its backwaters, which are a network of canals that connect the inland villages and towns with the Arabian Sea.
